Has anyone done the Dover walk-in finger printing?
« on: May 12, 2013, 09:29:32 PM »
When I made my appointment the woman asked if I wanted to go to the Dover walk-in. I was not that curious at the time but now that I had time to think about it I don't want to wait 2 weeks for my appointment if I don't have to.

Yes my wife and I went to the Dover fingerprinting location for ours. You walk in, take a number, called up to fill out a form, wait a few minutes then called back for fingerprinting. They will do the DE digital prints as well as the ink prints for other states. That's it. We were both in and out in short order.. less then an hour I believe.

Iirc the last day of the month is for sex offenders and is very busy. The first was another very busy day. They suggest you go pretty much any other time. Staff was friendly and chatty as well.

Would you mind telling me where it is located?

It's in behind Blue Hen Mall in Dover. Iirc just past Target, southbound. I didn't know where it was myself so simply Googled 'Blue Hen Mall Dover'. That let me know where it was and you drive around the back. Can't miss it from there due to the signs.

It's on the backside of the Blue Hen mall.  If heading south on 13, turn left at the Kent County Building (cool rounded glass front), you can't miss it.  There were some characters in there getting background checks while I was there.

Just got back from Dover SBI building. Highly recommended and very glad I did not wait the two weeks for my other appointment.
They open at 9am, I got there about 9:45 and there was already a good 10 or so people ahead of me. To call some of them " interesting characters" would be about right. Anyway I grabbed a number "13" sat down they then called the next number "13". Oh crap thats me, filled out nec. paperwork sat back down and waited about another 15 minutes. Then boom, fingerprinted and out the door.

Yes, they are located at the north end of the old Blue Hen Mall across from the DMV. Most times you're in and out in less that a 1/2 hour.

The CCDW application I thought must be filed within 30 days.  App says 45.
Like your prints will change in 45 days, right?!?
