Digressing but I carry my 2m-440 HHT along with the rest of my gear just in case.  The HHT does go with me into MD.  2x2 Advanced.

On topic, I divert around the 896 MD crossing.

Fascinating that the large majority of gun people that I know also Hams.
As for me, Extra Class, 2X1 call + Commercial Radiotelephone License
(I play with radios for a living)

We have a 440 repeater just across the line in PA. Full UPS backup + diesel generator with 3 days worth of fuel.
