Forgot my d%$@ gun
« on: October 23, 2016, 07:24:54 PM »
What an genius I am.  Got ready for church, put on my holster, and my mag carrier, making sure my spare 19 round clip was firmly in place.  Went to church feeling ready for any threat that could materialize, then happily drove home.  Went to change and realized I never put my XDM in the holster!

Anyone else ever do that?   Man, that was a wake up call.  That would have been real ugly if I went to draw and had no gun to draw.  >:( :( :'(

Only once on the road. And a couple of times before I left the house. Embarassing!

Walked out of the house with two shoes of the same style, but different colors once. Does that count.

I am notorious for the double check before I walk out the door.  I usually forget something that is why I do it. LOL

I came home one day after a family outing and when I unloaded I found I had a magazine full of snap caps.

I usually carry a Smith airweight, but it's not so light I don't know if it is in the holster.

Yeah, I don't know how I didn't realize the holster was empty.  Losing it in my old age

My guess is that you have become comfortable with carrying. I don't really think it's a mind thing.

Was this for the 380?  Why would you need a 19rd "clip"?

I stand corrected brother, no I carry a spare 19 round mag for my XDM 9mm. :)  When I carry my .380 I just put two spare 7 round mags in my pocket.
