If in NCC wait 3 months and then call. No need to be rude. Just state you sent in the paperwork 3 months ago, giving date if you feel, and were calling for an update.

When did you file and in what county?

Can I ask how long you've been here for? We moved here 2 years ago, submitted about 2 months ago and haven't heard a thing. They have cashed our checks though.

I filed at the end of January, still nothing.  Will they contact me if I'm turned down?

They will contact you if there is any issues. You should see the permit at the end of the month.

I agree with lumspond, they will contact you (usually by phone) if there's an issue.  And I agree if your approved you should see your permit by the end of this month to middle of next month.

Applied Jan 10. Haven't heard a thing. I have worked in military bases, banks ,data enters, airports, pharmaceutical plants, prisons, power plants and refineries, all with some kind of background checks. All of them combined have not taken this long. If you can buy a pistol in 5 minutes of background check. I don't understand why it take 38,304 times as long so far to have permission to carry the @@@@ thing

I've seen them. It probably sounds like I'm crying. I'm not. I'm venting. I just think it is brilliant to have to ask for permission to do something you should be able to do legally.

Its an automatic word filter placed on some words that at times can be quite amusing  ;D
