Friday 8/2 marks the beginning of week 14

Well coming up on week 14 this Friday still no news. I have checked my references nobody was called and nothing in the mail. Hell I started stalking the mailman lol... I have no idea what the delay is and because there is no way to track it you must just wait and wait. Even calling gets you confirmation that yes it is as justice but still no word.

Week 14 is upon me and still nothing. On the bright side my raven concealment holster arrived today. The wait on that was 16 weeks and I never figured I would get it before the permit.

 ???week 15 and still nada,I plan on calling Wednesday to check the status. Has anyone ever called justice directly or am I pushing my luck?

Yes I called on Friday after my 13th or 14th week (been so long I can't keep track).  The lady put me on hold to look up my info and said it was still with DOJ and does not know how much longer.  She said she really can't give me an estimate but her best guess would be another few weeks or so.

Don't know man, looks like me and you are in the same boat!

Your telling me, I never thought it would be near this long based on the times I submitted. I am into week 16 and counting. I did come up with a new plan though to limit the disappointment. I will call them every 2 weeks and not worry about the mail. I figure this takes away no fewer than 10 GD, MF, and what ever other cuss words I can thing of at the time per 2 week cycle.

I'm also in kent county. I submitted all my paperwork in the beginning of May and finally got my letter July 17. When I did call during the process I also was given the DOJ still has it in their hands.

And how's this working for you and relationships with your neighbors? 

Really though.. Why do this? It's simply ticking off the mail person if they don't have anything for you. Its the DOJ not USPS to blame.

Really, the USPS is not the enemy. They are just working people like the rest of us.
They are not effected by the government shut down so I guess they are really a little higher class.
