Title: Rep. Carney to run for Governor
Post by: MarkB on September 16, 2015, 10:12:27 PM
Rep. Carney has announced that he will run for Governor in 2016.  What's the chance of getting a conservative Republican in his place?  Who do you think should run?

It won't be an election, it will be a coronation. No Republican has a chance of winning  in Delaware. Delaware is a Socialist Liberal Progressive Duchy with NCC controlling the whole state. If I were younger I'd move to a better state.

You have a better chance of the fat man in the red suit going down your chimney on the night of Dec.24 then getting a Republican Gov. SturmRuger has it correct conservatives do not have a chance in hell in DE. I moved here 21yrs ago and things were decent between both parties. Then the progressive/liberals got control and it has been hell ever since. We know that Jack the Whack Markell will take over Carney's seat in DC. I am in the process of looking to move to another state because DE is lost.

Used to be said that the only way to defeat an incumbent in Delaware is if they "got caught with a dead girl or a live boy"

Not sure even that would do it now.

No chance of a Republican governor in Delaware.

I must be a hopeless optimist.

The right person can defeat Carney, however, the chances of finding that person are almost nil.
The other political party in this state needs to get its act together. Until that happens the political landscape isn't going to change.

As of now, if you are not a member of "The Party" you don't get much of a voice in Delaware.
Gee, sounds like we are moving into the same form of government found in the countries of some of our strongest allies like the
People's Republic of China.

Are Markell and Carney swapping jobs? Typical Delaware Democrat game...

Not just a Democrat thing. It is also a RINO thing- remember Mike Castle?

Markell has certainly been campaigning for something for quite a while, but I would bet he is going for something higher....Carper retiring??  He has modeled himself as a white Obama.

I believe that Jack the Whack Markell wants Carper's (AKA/Crapper) seat because being a Congressman is not worthy of him. Remember the "click" in NCC runs the state and that is all that counts. Yep Sen.Crapper will give way to Jack the Whack. This state is completely lost.
