A Rincon man accidentally shot himself in the leg at a Savannah gun show Sunday evening.
Police say 26-year-old Charles Lake was exiting the gun show at the Savannah Civic Center when, at 5:10 p.m., he discharged a round into his own leg while re-loading his pistol.
Savannah-Chatham police spokesman Julian Miller said Lake bought the pistol at the gun show on Saturday and had returned Sunday to purchase another gun. Lake was re-loading the pistol in the parking lot because loaded firearms were not allowed inside the gun show.
Following the accidental shooting, Lake was taken to Memorial University Medical Center with an injury not considered to be life-threatening.
Savannah-Chatham police are investigating the incident.

You mean the mechanical device that CAN fail???
How about FOLLOWING the 3 rules? (Always, always, always...)
Then it would NOT have happened.
