Title: Generation 4 Glocks
Post by: Sigarms12 on February 13, 2010, 11:32:48 PM
Just found out that the Generation 4 Glock's will now have an adjustable back strap starting with the G23.

That's true,

I have handled a 4th gen G22, and it did have three interchangeable backstraps.  The smallest was very slightly smaller than the current grip offered by the 3rd gen.  I really didn't notice a difference.  The other two backstraps were larger.  I definitely would have prefered an option a little bit smaller, but that's about it.  The grip changed a little as well, but didn't seem to change the feel in my opinion.

As of right now only the G17 and G22 have been released as 4th gens.  I have handled the 17, nice gun.  However, price did go up on them to $579.99 MSRP.  Easiest way to tell is that they say "Gen4" right on the slide.  Also has a new dual recoil spring.

I hear Glock will only be making the Gen 4's in their most popular models.
