Why do we carry - interesting letter ?
« on: December 05, 2013, 11:04:19 PM »
My father was turned down years ago (1999) for his CCW permit and in the denial letter signed by a Delaware Judge this is what it said and I quote.

"Your needs seem to be that of any citizen in a society that is increasingly lawless. While I am sensitive to your concerns, they seem to be no different than mine.Your application is denied."

He did eventually get his permit to carry. I thought this was interesting because a Judge states the obvious - an increasingly lawless society.

Like all of us, I find myself increasingly defenseless... except that I'm not.

Thirty years ago, I learned basic martial arts. Twenty years ago, a much stronger & crazier person tried to kill me -- and failed miserably. Today, a similar opponent would have no problem, except that I'm armed and alert.

We all deserve the right to protect ourselves and our families, and this should not depend on our physical strength or agility. Guns are "equalizers." I believe in equality.
