Says it all. DE's AGs refusal to uphold the laws passed.

That is because they don't have their version of "sensible" gun laws.

Laws are only as good as the judges. If they won't enforce the law, there is no law.

I've written, called, and emailed my State Senator and Representative about this numerous times. (Townsend and Osienski)
No replies received.
I'm not radical or inflammatory in my pleas to them. I calmly ask that they please put pressure on the AG to not plea bargain any gun crimes. 100% enforcement of the laws we have would work wonders for curbing violent crime.

No one seems to listen. There is no gun crime, there are only criminals that use guns as one of their tools. As a poorly informed person wrote in the News Urinal last week, "there one thing in common with gun crime, guns and bullets". Sorry the one thing that crime has is criminals. The usual tool is almost always obtained illegally.

Plea deals, plain and simple. I do not have a study to back me up, just 37 years working in prisons. Criminals are smart enough to avoid as many firearm charges as as they can. They will try to have as many dropped as possible in making their deal. Prosecutors go along to lessen the backlog of trials.
