Of course the appeal / hearing on this will be in April.  I believe by the enbanc 9th circuit Court of Appeals.  Don’t be surprised if the egregious carry ban is back on after that.  The 9th Circus has done this time and time again.

Apparently, the decision on the Maryland try for essentially the same thing was ruled unconstitutional.  Don't they read???  Yeah, dumb question.

The gun grabbing gestapo will never stop.  They're going to try every single avenue they can to deprive us of our rights.

They know it for sure.  The timing of it is definitely indicative of that.  The deadline for the State to file its answer to my motion was Friday at noon.  I got the plea offer Thursday afternoon after the assigned prosecutor "consulted with the appeals unit".

California’s Ban on Guns in Most Public Places Is Blocked Again

Just a week after the law was allowed to take effect, a federal appeals court reinstated a lower court’s ban on enforcement of  the California revenge carry ban

California is barred again from enforcing its ban on guns in most public places after a federal appeals court ruled on Saturday that a lower court’s block on the ban should stand.

In December a Federal Judge blocked the ban which would have banned carry in virtually all places including business and private vehicles.  Even with a carry license. This law was a “revenge” law by Governor Newsome in response to the Shall Issue mandate of the Bruen decision.

On December 27th a three judge appeals panel overturned that and the law went into January 1st.

Today, another appeal panel overturned that stay and blocked enforcement of the law.

Stay tuned.

As a gunsmith, I would say 1911's are very easy to work on, compared with many newer striker type plastic guns.  And are easier to get good long-range results which are practically impossible with others.  Many of my bulleseye groups use 1911's at 25 yds with surprising results.

i'd love a 1911, but honestly they scare me a little when it comes to disassembly, which is one of my favorite things to do aside from the actual shooting

For my birthday I  decided to join the double stacked 1911 gang. Springfield seems to have corrected all the initial issues with the Prodigy. It's biggest shortcoming is the badly fitted ambi safety.  It was fixable but I still decided that I will eventually be replacing all the internal mim parts with egw and wilson components.
If polishing slides and tuning springs while you watch TV sounds like a fun evening I highly recommend getting one. It did very well at the range. It shot 124gr and hollow points without any issues and had one light primer strike on cheap sinter ammo

Thank you Marc, I really appreciate the clarification.

Well hear me out and bear with me on this a sec....

What if aside from any other "wrongdoing" a person was found to have been in violation of one of these new laws,  thus becoming the key candidate for a constitutional case. Because delaware knows it doesn't pass muster, they drop charges.  But because of the dropped charges the law never gets properly challenged (as in actual tangible damages like the example I mentioned) so it stays on the books.

And it stays a law as so make it a "deterrence" for people to not carry on those places,  although only the good people do that.  And it also allows them to keep claiming that they are making new laws instead of "doing nothing"

Am I on to something?
