Why The Time Span
« on: May 22, 2013, 01:57:13 AM »
Does anyone know what the process is for approval?
In some places like some PA counties they run a NICS check and
Right away give you the permit.  How does the paperwork flow. What is involved with the background check
Beyond a NICS check.  Is there a reason it takes so long?

I think it goes further than that. I believe they check with state police and maybe the FBI for any previous records of charges or convictions.
