JFK - You won't see this:

(1/1)

Clarence:
With all the media attention on the 50th anniversary of the murder if President Kennedy by a left wing Marxist assassin, here is some information that will NOT be covered in the mainstream media:

In April 1960 while a candidate for president, JFK said the following:

“By calling attention to a well-regulated militia, the security of the nation and the right of each citizen to keep and bear arms, our founding forefathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fears of government tyranny, which gave rise to the Second Amendment, will ever be a major danger to our nation, the Amendment still remains a major declaration of our basic civilian-military relationships, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of his country. For that reason, I believe the Second Amendment will always be important"

JFK was a member of the National Rifle Association. On March 20, 1961 JFK became a Life Member and in a letter to the NRA President Franklin L. Orth stated, “Through competitive matches and sports in coordination with the National Board for Promotion of Rifle Practice, the Association fills an important role in our national defense effort, and fosters in an active and meaningful fashion the spirit of the Minutemen.”

Wonder if Piers Morgan, Rachel Maddow or any of the leftist commentators will care to share this with their viewers this week.

Just Bill:
Kennedy never dreamed we would have an Obama...................  Hey, the man said he wanted to completely transform the country, we are getting what he promised.  Of course, so did Lenin, Mousalini, Hitler, etc.

seniorgeek:
@Clarence, nice post. I always new JFK was a supporter of the 2nd amendment. Too bad he is not here today.

JFK was probably the last of the true moderate to conservative democrats we had at president. Yes he could not keep his pants up, but the reality is that he did at least think the constitution was the law of the land and nothing something to be broken.
