Title: Re-loading for the M1 Garand
Post by: Schmenge on July 23, 2010, 04:00:36 PM
I've been handloading for handguns for about 25 years now, but just started for rifles. I'm looking for info for the M1. I'm using the Hornady manual for the M1 loads. 150 gr BT-FMJ. It's a cannalured bullet but the book doesn't specify if or how much crimp I should use. Can anyone out there help?

Check out hornadys website too. I think they have a page that gives a lot of info, just type in bullet and powder and it gives everything else, even what balistics and accuracy to expect

Hornady recommends a heavy crimp.
