Got the permit today!

Went to check the mail today not even expecting my permit and was presently surprised. It only took 45 days from the day I submitted. That is including the delay I had because I was forced to reschedule my hearing. Sussex county sure is fast!

On Dec. 19th I applied for my CCDW. Today I made the walk to the mailbox, as I do everyday, and low and behold there was a envelope from the Prothonotaries Office, Kent County Superior Court. I became nervous. Slowly I opened the envelope. Is this going to be good news or bad news? As I slid the contents out with intrepidation, a laminated card fell into my lap.
EUREEKA!!! It was my CCDW. My heart skipped a beat. It was like my "first time" all over again. Yes! Yes!

Seriously...... Thanks to Judge Whitam, the DOJ folks, Kirk Marino at Marino Tactical Solutions, and all my neighbors and friends that filled out my Reference Questionaire sheets, and the folks (you) at this forum for all their help and information.

Congratulations all. The applications in Kent County are on the rise. I believe I have seen about 12-15 listed in the State News and Dover Post in the last 2 weeks. I'm sure the election results Tuesday will make the DECCW even more in demand. Delaware is either 4th or 8th (depending on the report you read) in the nation in crimes. The Little Wonder is shooting to be the First State in something else I guess. That statistic is one of the things I sighted in my reason to carry on my application. You know @@@@ well the A/T's office and Judges know it is so.
