Title: New to the forum.
Post by: Destice84 on June 11, 2015, 10:35:45 AM
Hello everyone,
I live in Sussex County. Turned in my packet on 5-8-15. Lady at the Prothonotary said it could take up to four months. Currently have my Springfield XDM 9 and Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 2.0 sitting in my safe patiently waiting for the day I can start carrying concealed.

Welcome, @Destice84. Tuck your shirt over the Tuck 2.0 with a blue gun in it. Good for dry practice and for getting used to the extra baggage. Lessens the apprehensions that occur on the first real carry. Available on Amazon among other vendors.

Here's a good read that we discussed in a previous thread

Greetings from Sussex Co. and welcome to this site. The folks on this site are friendly and very helpful. I do not think it will take 4 months to receive you CCW permit. All the best to you.

Back when I applied for my DECCW, I carried around the house concealed with my pistol in IWB / EDC holster. If I had to go outside I just uncovered it (open carry legal) . The main thing is to get use to the weight and feel. When you do your first concealed carry "walk" you will possibly be thinking, do people know I'm armed, can they see a print, is someone going to scream gun and point at me in a store or public. The answer is no if you are doing it right and don't call attention to yourself. Remember (I know you've heard this) but, concealed means concealed.

Greetings to all. I am also new to the forum. I have had my DE concealed license for several years. I sent my renewal in over 2 months ago and still waiting. You would think that the renewal would not take this long. This state is unbelievable in how they make people wait for their God given rights. I also applied a couple of years ago in Pennsylvania for an out of state resident license. Would you believe that it took only two weeks to process my application and approve it. And it only cost $20. If you are considering in also applying in PA go to the Sheriffs office in Media (Delaware County). This is a friendly county. Some in PA are not so 2nd Amendment friendly. Good luck to all.

Welcome aboard - As for PA - Lancaster PA  is the way to go for your out of State non resident Carry license. It usually takes only 20-30 minutes in and out with your spanking new PA Carry License.  Of course that's as long as everything checks out and you have you DE Carry License.

Welcome.  This is THE place for good solid help.  Great folks here.  Visit often and let us know if your progress.
One thing that didn't really think about was manner of dress.  Think about how you will carry and dress acordingly.
