Title: Chiappa Rhino
Post by: Hawkeye on May 02, 2010, 12:22:21 PM
Now for something completely different.  The makers of the Chiappa Rhino claim that recoil is greatly reduced because it shoots from the bottom chamber, not the top. This is an interesting looking wheelgun.  I sure would like to put my hands on one and try it out.

Great Idea!

Wouldn't mind shooting that myself, wonder what the recoil is like.

I noticed that it's chambered in .357 Magnum. That might be a cool carry gun.

I just wonder if I could trust it like I would trust a Smith & Wesson revolver, especially if it was going to be my wife's carry gun... I don't even want her carrying a Taurus.

I know Taurus has a mixed reputation with their line of semi-automatics but their revolvers are pretty much respected as a reliable handgun.

True, and her Taurus 608 has been 100% reliable for years, but that's in her nightstand... and there's a Mossberg 500 under her side of the bed for backup.
When it comes to a carry gun for her, I'll gladly pay the extra money for a Smith & Wesson.

Not such a swing. At home, my wife has a Mossberg 500 and a Saiga-12 for bbackup. Out on the street, all she'll have is the Smith.
