Federal judge in Camden New Jersey has issued a Temporary Restraining Order stopping major parts of the new New Jersey concealed carry law.  A law that basically banned carry with a permit everywhere including in your own car and all private and public property.

This law was passed by the Democrats and Governor Murphy as a full hissy fit to the June 2022 Bruen decision.

Judge indicated that the law appeared unconstitutional and enforcement of such while awaiting trial would “irreparably harm” lawful concealed carriers.

"liability insurance for gun carriers"?
Seriously?
...and "sensitive areas" not affected?
Seriously?
I guess that's why I'm not a Judge.  Common sense does not apply.

They didn’t go after those parts of the law .....yet.   To get the TRO at this point they needed to show IRREPARABLE harm.  This was tactical to get a quick TRO.  The insurance requirement has not taken effect yet. The rest is of the lawsuit coming.   You can be assured of that.

They didn’t go after those parts of the law .....yet.   To get the TRO at this point they needed to show IRREPUTABLE harm.  This was strategic to get a quick TRO.  The rest is coming.   You can be assured of that.

A very rational response. The laws are being challenged one by one and for the most part are being struck down.

Hopefully this will cool off some of these other 5 or 6 states that are contemplating what NY and NJ did.  States like Maryland and Massachusetts may think twice before going down this rabbit hole.

Sorry, I'm not one for subtleties when it comes to flagrant violations of Constitution and Law.
The requires an axe, and a BIG one.
It's either legal or it's illegal to bear arms.  There is no gray area!

Agreed, but you obviously don't think like the King of Joisey, or the Queen of NY.

Do I need too?  If you play their game, you will never win.
I'm reading some old 1960-61 Guns & Ammo magazines, and guess what ?  They had the same problems back then!!
