Did Markell finally get it right?

The following is a bullet point from the summary of today's State of the State speech:

Address Wilmington gun violence: create a new Division of Special Investigations within the Department of Safety and Homeland Security to focus on gun-trafficking, recognizing gun violence is often committed by shooters who cannot legally own guns.

Someone must of whacked him in the head or something.

I suggest sending him a congratulatory e-mail.

Don't read too much into it. With them rebranding what they do gun control is now gun safety.  By focusing on gun trafficking they probably mean making it harder for law abiding citizens to get guns such as closing the non-existent gun show Loophole and other such nonsense.

Don't believe it for a minute.  Murder, robbery, rape and assault are already against the law.  The Governor and his ilk will continue to criminalize lawful gun owners because they are the ones who can be affected in any way by his proposals.  Criminals will just continue to violate the law.  And our rights will be taken little by little.

Don't forget that before that background check law went into effect Markell considered it "trafficking" for me to not like a gun I have and decide to sell it to someone without an ffl.
