I went to Lancaster county sheriff office yesterday 6/14 and was in and out in 15 minutes. According to the guy doing it I broke a record for fastest approval time, I guess PA likes me. I also chose this county so the family could stop at Dutch wonderland on the way home. All around easy experience capped with a family fun day!

I was in and out in the same time when I went to the Reading airport.
Only down side is the 1.5hr dive each way for 15 minutes.

I went to the Reading airport radnor, when I map quested the directions it really isn't that much of a difference from Lancaster. And then I went to cabela's.

I did the same as Trapper last week. I think it comes down to what else do you want to do in PA for the day

Ok, thanks for all the updates. I will go to Lancaster as It will make a nice ride on my motorcycle.

I got my PA permit yesterday in Lancaster. I was in and out in 15 minutes. Very easy, no hassles. Much better than waiting the 5 months for Delaware's.

Think I'm heading up to Lancaster today to get my PA permit. Hopefully the 15-20 minute stories still hold true!

10-15 minutes still sounds better than 5 weeks. Glad I made the drive.

When I talked to them, they said Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:00.
Can't hurt to call and ask though.

I went to Delaware county PA today for my permit and the lady said i should hear something back in like 4 weeks. The drive wasn't long from DE and the people there were very nice. I will keep everyone posted when i receive my PA permit.

Went up yesterday and receivec my permit in about 20 minutes from Lancaster County courthouse. People were very nice! The Sherriff looks at the 4 of us from Delaware sitting there waiting and asked us if the they let the gate open so we could come up there. Then he said there was no one left to protect the citizens of Delaware LOL

The crew at Lancaster are great. very friendly and were cracking jokes with us the hole time. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Congrats all on the PA permits. The wife and I have ours and it kinda sucks since we have FLorida and it used to be covered, but that Obama lover Kane decided she has an issue with the second amendment. She seems to prefer Philadelphia county and a couple others pick and chose who can protect themselves from thugs. Er I mean constituents ( typically at least)

Lancaster had no wait last month. I understand Berks (Reading) is very friendly as well with no wait.

Delaware county has a wait and you make two trips. Lancaster your in and out in 10 mins. Permit in hand.

I received my letter in the mail today that i'm approved for my PA permit in Delaware County :) this took two weeks which is really fast.
