All,
Looking at the Uberti 1873 20" rifle in .357. Anyone have one - or have any input ?

Yes, I believe they are one in the same. Uberti now is importing them themselves:

great video and great rifle. I like shooting those kind of rifles. I have a Henry Yellowboy chambered in 45lc. sometimes think it is too pretty to shoot.
After you get that, you can join SASS and go shoot with them.

Excellent ! Im going to stick w/.357 though as already have a revolver in that chamber. I was tempted to get the .44mag; as it would be an excuse to also get a S&W 29 ;) I have heard that the .357 is more accurate at distance however..

Yep, thats what I would do... only reason I got the Henry in 45LC was because I already had the Colt Frontier in 45LC. Both being too nice to shoot.

Wow, these are nice. Very tempting, especially the 1873 TRAPPER RIFLE (16").

I thought that same thought, but I bought a Marlin in 44 so that I would have to buy a 44 revolver. I'm going to get a Ruger Alaskan. So I still need the .357 rifle though! I am going to look around for another Marlin though. If you can't tell- I really like Marlins!

I have the Ruger Alaskan .454 Casull / .45 long colt and its vicious! Ask Joe :) I've finally worked out some of the issues it has in .454. There is a learning curve to this version & its certainly not for most shooters. The others don't share these issues. The .44 Alaskan is very nice to shoot.
I bought a 16" Stainless Rossi R92 lever action in .454/.45lc to match it. Simple but wonderful rifle in the hands. Unfortunately it looks like the feeding ramp angle is off slightly as the tip of the rounds would hit the top and not slide into the loading chamber. I'm waiting to get it back from Rossi.
I have fired the .357 version in a 20" and will likely order a 16" .357 sometime if I find a decent deal. I've never fired a Marlin.

I can attest to the .454 Casual...it was "Awesome" never seen anything like that ...

I just sent a deposit out on Cody's special 18" barrel edition.....I'll post some pics when it comes in. Right now Im thinking i should have it late Feb/Early March.

good show!!! I am sure you will like it. Looking for range report. I had to bang the back sight over right a little on the Henry, but other than that no problems.

That's likely when I'll get my R92 back. I still haven't been able to shoot it. Maybe get together and shoot together someplace. : ) I'm really looking forward to .454 through a 16" barrel rather then the 2" lol. May have the .357 version by then also.
