Title: Hey I can stop looking at that brilliant mailbox!
Post by: PPScarry on April 25, 2016, 10:14:13 PM
February 8th I submitted my paperwork. I finally received my permit in the mail today thank the lord. I have been hassled at the Wawa and getting gas, now I feel more confident in my ability to protect myself and loved ones from aggressive scum. I must say I am very happy it didn't take 6 months. I pray I never need to pull my pistol out of it's holster, ever.

11 weeks in New Castle County for me. So glad it wasn't 6 months.

Thanks 29th. It wouldn't have seemed as long if I didn't check the mail every day. Thanks for the hard work all of you at the courthouse and prothonotary's office. Pretty good considering all the renewals and historic volume of new applications.

Thanks all, carried in BJ's, Rite Aid, and a Liquor store for my father in-law. I have been practicing carrying around the house all day so it felt natural and I'd recommend doing the same for those still waiting.

An extension of house practice is carrying a blue gun in your carry rig and clothing in public.  Gets you used to idea of keeping concealed and not comfort touching.

Per the letter of the law, NOT allowed to do so.  Like the idea of the BLUE gun for that reason.

I didn't know conceal carry inside my home was illegal! Never took it outside concealed, even in my own yard. Glad you pointed that out Radnor for others here and will not make that mistake with my wife who's about to take her course.

Touching was part of my training and glad you mentioned it. My teacher, who is a LEO, taught me about people with guns and drugs always touching the location of it. It's all true and a hard habit to break and one of the main reasons I practice carrying at home. Should have had a blue gun.

You dont have to touch it.  If it's not there, that's what the thud sound was.

We have a course lined up in May if you need it.

joet I miss you buddy. I've been working on saving for an AR platform and hope to have one by late June. I look forward to breakfast, it's on me. Lets get together when all is well and shoot some lead. Been taking care of my father-in law. He just got out of Churchman's center and can almost walk again. 91 this year and deserves my attention lately. A veteran of WWII and can't leave him alone yet. Tore his hip flexor muscles and is on the mend. First thing he wanted when he got home was a beer! Call me anytime or I will call you. Hope all is well. Praying for your family and like I said, miss you buddy. I haven't forgot about you guy, just doing what is right like you do.

91 and works out every day, only bench & military press right now due to his rehab of hip flexor tears. Something about the greatest generation, guy was in Churchmans Center for over a month, got home and wanted a Yingling or 2 or 3 or 6 pack. I wish I was a quarter of the man. 29th wants to shoot! Right now I only have half a dozen handguns, working on my AR-15. That said, it would be my pleasure! I owe Joet some range time too if he will have me, seems we both have & had duties that can't be ignored. Joet is a one good man, proud to know that guy.
