Lets see what your favorite manufacturer is
-
Me I'm kinda partial to Sig over the years I've owned smith and wessons and glocks and none ever fit my hand like a Sig.
-
I think Sig makes a great gun and has always been very inovative with design, I just wish they made wheelguns. Smith & Wesson has Eastwood on its side and you can't beat the prancing pony on the side of the Colt. You see I really do suffer from gun envy!

Where the hell is Taurus?
-
Yeah, what happened to Taurus? ???
-
There looking for a bail out from Obama ;D
-
The poll is not working!!!
MY vote is for the GLOCK!
-
Here is an awesome animation of the glock firing mechanics (for lack of better wording)...

What surprises me is no one has mentioned HK. I think they make some of the nicest guns out here like there new P30 however $900 for a 9mm polymer gun is way out of my league price wise.
-
Springfield armory and then there is Kimber
-
I've got a Springfield loaded 1911 that I bought 10 years ago when they first started selling them all tricked out. By far my favorite gun, shoots everything I put in it. That started my love affair with the 1911, now I want them all.
-
I think Springfields are ok. What I dislike about them is that they sort of "deceive" the public with their slogan "Springfield Armory USA." As far as I know the two guns that I am concerned about, meaning I would think about getting it, 1911s and the XDs, none of them are made in the US. The 1911s are made in Brazil, and the XDs are made in Croatia. Now, why is that? Cheaper labor maybe, and for the XDs cheaper laber and perhaps marketing strategy since Glocks are made in Austria!!! Maybe a lot of other gun makers use the same parts, some coming from IMBEL (Brazil), but I would rather go with a gun maker that has pride of ownership and makes and builds its own guns!

Sig Sauer german Company however the P250 is completely made in Exeter NH

I was searching on the web and cound't find any info. I was about to ask you that question to which you just answered. Thanks!

I believe that most of. The guns sig sells in the us are made here the frames used to be imported but I think they are even made here now. The P250 since its a new gun is only us made no parts are imported.
-
Its surprising just how many manufacturers guns are made outside of the USA. Even good old Remington has a whole line made completely in Russia. Taurus revolvers are basically a S&W. Years ago they paid the S&W engineers to come down to Brazil and teach them how to run a factory. I think it is partially due to labor costs and the free trade agreements that the country has set up. Thats said, ,most of them are still very well made guns. There are a lot of gunsmiths that will only work on some of them because of the quality. For example Wilson Combat will only work on Colt, Springfield, Kimber or S&W pistols.

I'm getting ready to pick up an East German Makarov tomorrow. Only 200$ Hear nothing but good things. Can't wait!

I'm partial to Springfield Armory.
The company makes some great guns.
The XD-40 was issued to me at work, and I have found it to be accurate and very enjoyable to shoot.
I just bought a standard 1911-A1 loaded, used at a gunshop, and its proven to be a tack driver.

I'm looking for a 1911 Commander size gun. A lots going to depend on what I can get that's in stock. Right now I'm looking at a para usa LTC and a Springfield Champion.

I'm looking for a 1911 Commander size gun.
So am I but my wife insists on paying the bills first. Sometimes I just do not understand her priorities. ;)
-
Looks like I will be going with the Para LTC since it seems everything else is out of stock and will be fore a while. >:(
-
I just wonder what my next one will be.
-
I'm thinking no more handguns for a while unless I can find a real good deal on a Sig 229 in 9mm
-
Sig are you going to the long guns
-
Yea just don't have the money for an AR right now, getting a shot gun very soon
-
Only Ruger fan! Oohrah

I voted for Glock, but I like Smith & Wesson and Taurus revolvers.
Assuming my wife gets her CCDW, out next purchase will be a 8-shot .357 327 Night Guard for her purse:

We already have a G20 and a G29, so what other Glocks do we need?
