Title: The Subjet of Walmart and Gun Again
Post by: SturmRugerSR9 on November 24, 2013, 11:43:37 PM
I went to Milford Walmart Friday and as usual, strolled through the Sporting Goods Dept. and as usual the shelves were bare of ammo.
I asked the clerk about Walmarts policy of not carrying rifles and ammo, and he had this to say. The reason Walmart , in Delaware, is not carrying riffles and pistol ammo is because of the Delaware Laws passed by the Legislature. Oh, those Bastards Again, I said.
He said yeah them. Walmart decided that since , in Delaware, a FFL dealer had to do FFL transfers of guns they did not sell, when 2 parties came in to transfer guns between each other, that Walmart would rather stop the sales altogether, that to have people walking around in the stores carrying these guns and ammo. They no longer have people licensed as FFL agents on staff. There is no plan to reinstate the sale of rifles and ammo as long as Delaware has this law. It is still the policy of Walmart to escort purchasers of guns out of the store as I am told that Dick's Sporting Goods does also.
I have carried concealed in Walmart for years. I try to be a responsible gun owner, and justify the right to carry concealed. I've carried so long I don't even think about it often. It's when I can't that it feels odd.
Hopefully we can get rid of the abnti-gunners in the Legislature, these career politician hangers-oners, and get rid of their Left-wing laws. But it will take ever one of us and more to do that. Remamber, the 2014 elections are aproaching. New candidates will be available. Don't think you have to vote for a "good old boy" if he is not pro-gun, pro 2nd Amenedment.

I've heard 3-4 different stories now from Walmart employees. Walmart is still selling handgun & rifle ammo though it sells out in minutes at most locations. Wife stopped in the Middletown location last week and bough .357 & 9mm.

Yes, I see where some of this ammo goes. People are trying to sell it on this and other sites at rip-off prices. Greed and Shame raises thier ugly heads.
