Title: Kel-Tec or Sig
Post by: Schmenge on May 20, 2010, 06:25:20 PM
Does anyone have an opinion on the Kel-Tec PF-9 and the Sig P250 subcompact? I'm considering both. I'm currently carrying a Ruger LCR and I'm happy with it, but it's a little bulky for summertime concealment.

Don't know much about the keltec. Not a big fan of the P250.

Have you considered the Sig P232? I carry it. Check it out.

I did consider the Sig 232, but I'm looking for either a 9mm or a .40. I also like DAO for a carry gun. DAO takes a little more practice, but that's just a good reason to go to the range. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I have only carried my glock 23. With my supertuck holster I can conceal easily in shorts and a t-shirt.  Sorry I cant help with the two guns your asking about.. Although I can say im sure a glock is much cheaper then the sig.

If the LCR is too bulky for you my bet would be that sigs pistols will be also. I think the kel tec is just under an inch thick, so bulk shouldn't be a problem with it. How do you carry the ruger? Have you tried a pocket holster or even a simple belt holster for it. I have a spare pocket holster that you could have.

Thanks for the offer, but I have a pocket holster now that I use exclusively for the LCR. No one has ever spotted it, maybe I'm just a little paranoid. I was actually carrying it for a couple of months before my wife knew about it. I think I've solved my problem now though. I just received a couple of pairs of 5.11 tactical jeans from the NRA online store with the IWB pouch. Even with my shirt tucked in, the butt of the LCR is darn near invisible. Of course, that doesn't mean I won't still need to buy another gun.
