Title: Kendrick Castillo: national hero in Colorado school shooting
Post by: Cbmarine on May 09, 2019, 02:31:33 PM
When the situation in the Colorado Highlands Ranch STEM school went critical, Kendrick Castillo skipped the “Run, Hide” and went directly to “Fight”. As reported in multiple news outlets  (https://news.yahoo.com/kendrick-castillo-hero-killed-colorado-153851051.html), Kendrick sacrificed his life by rushing the shooter allowing other students to escape. A friend who is in a Marine Corps deferred entry program (https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2019/05/08/brendan-bialy-tackled-colorado-school-shooting-suspect-father-says/1139373001/), Brendan Bialy, also rushed and restrained the shooter.
It has been reported that there were no metal detectors at the school. Also reported somewhere is that the school’s private security, a former Marine, also ran to the scene and restrained a shooter.

Pics of the boy looked like a nerd, but he definitely was a hero nerd!!!  All three as a mater of fact.   Just say, hell no we are not going to hide.  Shades of Flight 93.
