Question about applying CCW
« on: February 26, 2013, 10:47:16 PM »
Has anyone even been denied for a alcohol offiense?   Mine was driving a vessel under the influence about 3 years ago, just wondering if that would be a problem. Thanks

I am not THAT familiar with the whole process but it does ask about that kind of stuff.  I know somehow who got denied and then he appealed and stated his case to the judge if I remember correctly.  Last I heard he was approved but didn't have permit in hand yet.

The appeal process is where you could describe the circumstances of the offense etc.

Driving under the influence could certainly would be construed as bad judgement. It ultimately will be up to the judge, whom hopefully will consider your record before that offense, and since. As Antapd mentions, if denied, you can appeal the process. I know there is a lawyer in Newark DE that advertises "CCDW appeals".
