Anyone have a desert eagle the reload for? Im having a really hard time finding 50 caliber hand gun projectiles that are light enough. Stores only seem to stock the 400-500 gr 500SW bullets.

Try Natchez

Or Midway

Or Cabelas
http://www.cabelas.com/product/Shooting/Reloading/Reloading-Bullets|/pc/104792580/c/104761080/sc/112555080/Hornadyreg-Flex-Tip-Handgun-Bullets/740931.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Freloading-bullets%2F_%2FN-1109589%2B4294388104%2B4294388618%2FNe-4294388618%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_112555080%3FWTz_st%3DGuidedNav%26WTz_stype%3DGNU
Not sure if Cabela's bullet is the correct one. Hornady recommends the XTP.

interesting, I would think the heavy would be the choice, to make sure pressure built more, to cycle that heavy pig.

Most of the heavy bullets would have to be seated way too deep to even fit into the magazine. The flex tips and most 500sw bullets are out of the question for that reason. Ive loaded the hornady 50AE rounds a few times but paying $40 for a box of 50 made my wallet sting a little lol. Most published load data for 50AE only covers <350gr rounds. I couldnt find much on cast loads either since most shooters are afraid of clogging their gas ports. As little as i shoot this gun i see my self selling it in the not too distant future. If any of you guys ever thing about buying a desert eagle put your credit card down and go buy a 500SW instead, youll be much happier lol
