Processing time in NCCo

I filed for my initial permit yesterday in New Castle County.  Clerk said they're taking up to six months (!)   Anyone know if that's an accurate estimate?   Or was she just giving me the outer limits?

I think 4 months was the shortest time ive seen posted recently

Seems processing C/C permits is not high on the agenda in Liberal NCC. They are in no rush to get you a permit to carry the guns they dislike.
