Recommendation for attorney "on call" ?
« on: June 08, 2015, 02:11:47 AM »
I've read numerous places that if you're going to carry, you should have already selected an attorney to call if the day comes where you need to use it.  Makes sense; you don't want to start looking for an attorney while you're sitting in jail.  Some books even suggest you meet him/her in advance and establish a rapport (if not a retainer).

Being new to the state, I have no familiarity with any attorneys except the one who handled my closing; and while she was very nice, she's not who I'd call after a self-defense shooting.   Can anyone offer any recommendations?  New Castle County, preferably.

Many thanks.

The two best criminal defense attorneys in the state are Joe Hurley and Eugene Maurer.
I don't know Eugene Maurer. If you decide to stop in at Joe Hurley's office, let me know so I can give you a referral.
