I'm just finished my training class today and finishing up all of my paperwork!  Need to get my photos together and my app notarized at the bank and that will be it.  Just had a quick question.  Can you mail in everything into the Prothonotary or is it better/safer to hand deliver it?  I was just wondering what everyone else has done?  I work during the day and cannot easily get out of work to deliver it.  I mean, I will if I have to but was just wondering if the hassle is at all neccessary?

Many of us, including myself, think it is better to deliver it in person.

Registered mail worked just fine for me for DE & FL. Signature on return confirmation assures delivery. But then it is the United States Postal Service so there is always some doubt  ::)

I chose to hand deliver also, even though I hate going into Wilmington.

If hand delivered to the Prothonatary, they will notorize the app. form for free.

If you do hand deliver your paperwork make sure you have exact change if paying in cash.  They no longer make change according to the signs when I turned in my paperwork on 11/29/11.

May seem like a brilliant question but when I take everything to the prothonotary, should I staple each of the forms to their respective second page?  Just wondering because I don't want to cause them more work but I'm just think of the stack of papers with the duplicate copies hitting the floor and needing to be picked up!   :o

I took two stacks, the originals in one, dups in another... Any forms that had multiple parts I stapled together.  Likewise my photos were in an envelope which was then also stapled to the app.

They didn't pull any staples out or complain, so I'm assuming they were just fine with it.
