Hi All,
I wanted to let you know who I am. I am a USAF Vet, transplanted in Dover by Uncle Sam in 1979. I was in Security Police, a Carpenter and went into the USAF reserve as a production control specialist. After a while I tired of the politics and got out. While in the AF I met a local girl from Maine, Arizona, Hawaii, Germany, and Dover. (She was an AF Brat) We were married in July of 1981. After I left the USAFR I started selling cars. After a little over 15 years of that I went to work at DART driving a Paratransit bus.
While in the USAF, there was a Gun Club. The Eagle Wing Gun Club, which I was a range official. We sponsored many event like combat shoots, bowling pin matches. and so on. Lots of fun.
Which brings me to now. I started the process for a CCDW about three months ago. I have the five references, have taken the CCDW course, now all I need is to be fingerprinted, the newspaper ad, pictures, and for it to be filed. All the easy stuff is done. The newspaper ad is the one that scares me. If there is someone out there with a grudge against you they can try to destroy you because of a little ad in the newspaper.
I started this process with my son and brother-in-law. It helps to take some of the fear away when there are other in the boat with you. We are making the application to protect ourselves. Things are getting crazy out there.
By now you are tired of reading about me so I'll stop the agony.
Thanks
Danny (N3WCB)
