Title: shooting out of state
Post by: gun nut on March 01, 2009, 07:26:15 PM
Say you live in Delaware and you go to Target Masters to fire  some rounds off and something in your firearm breaks. Now the guy behind the counter says "hay we will send that out for you ". Just say no. Bring the gun back over the line and have a Delawere dealer send it instead. Why you ask because when Target Masters gets you gun back they will have to do a transfer to a Delaware dealer anyway and you will get stuck with a transfer fee, shipping, and tue caost of the repair. And please let me know if i missed anything

Have you run into this gunnut? I know if you give it right to the gunsmith he is able to give it right back to you even if its out of state.

I was informed about this through a smith. And yes an out of state smith will give it right back to you after they log it out. But if its just a dealer then look out for that whole mess.

Dave I agree that Targetmasters ammo policy on WWB is crap however I don't mind if I'm up that way stopping in, on more then one occasion I have found some good deals. I picked up a desantis IWB holster for $20, it had a couple scratches on it but who cares about that. They do have good deals on hollow point ammo. as far as target ammo NEVER.

best thing about targetmaster is a few of their range officers allow you to take extra brass with you. I was up there one day a few months ago. I was the only person on the range and when I finished up and started picking my brass the range officer came out and started sweeping up all the brass from down range and gave it to me. I mustve gotten an extra 100 pieces over and above what I shot. But the store policies and Tommy suck major @@@.

Just remember if your gun fails out of state bring it back to your home state to your local gunsmith.
