Just received a new sight today. A VISM model VDRFRLB.
I plan to go the range soon to test it out and get it sighted in. I will post a review when I return.

It is mounted on my S&W M&P modern sporting rifle.

I spent some time today at the range to sight in my new Shot Spot VISM site along with doing some other shooting.
Below is my review of the VISM model VDRFRLB.
Mounting and setup:
I wanted to keep my standard front sight so I purchased a riser (model UGV) and mounted the VSIM on the riser. Attaching riser and mounting the VISM was easy and only took a couple of minutes.
Nothing difficult here. I rechecked everything to make sure it was secure and nothing loose. It comes with the battery installed and used the common 2032 so no issues there.
There are 7 setting on the sight. 5 intensity settings for the green dot. One setting for both greed dot and red laser both on and one setting for just the laser. Actually 8 if you call the off position a setting.
These are on the left side an can be done very easy while looking through the site as the setting wheel rotates from one position to the next. The vertical and horizontal adjustments are behind a screw cover that removes very easy. One nice thing here is the screw cover has a rubber ring so no dust gets inside the actually adjustment screw. It also came with dusk covers for both sides of the optics.
Siting in and use:
It was very bright today at the range so I used setting 3 for the green spot to make it move visible. Setting 1 was visible but hard for me to center because of the small size and low brightness.
I used the 25 yard sight in range to make my initial adjustments. I made a home made target with 2 crosses on white paper using a standard Sharpe, on at the top third and the other at the bottom third.
Viewing the crosses was easy and the optics showed no distortion what soever. Actually I should have used a wider Sharpe.
Now on to sighting it in. First shot totally missed the target. Sight was way off down right and very low. After 3 more shots and some more adjustments I was now on target but not near accurate.
I continued to make small adjustments until I could consistently put 3 shots in a 1 inch group. Now pleased with the adjustments I replaced the adjustment screw cover and shot some 6 more rounds to make sure I didn't change the setting while putting the cover screws back on.
Time for new target. Fresh target installed and final 6 shots to verify all settings. 4 inside red center ring and the other 2 touching the center right. Very satisfied withe the adjustment now and confident that I now can move to the 100 yard range. I took a little more time with each shot and still managed 1 inside center and 1 right and down 1 ring and one right and up one ring and 2 in ring 2. Actually that is excellent shooting for me so I am pleased with this green shot spot.
Red Laser:
This is totally useless in bright conditions so I didn't take time to do any adjustments or attempt sight in the laser. I will have to wait for dusk or a very dark day.
Conclusion:
I would recommend this to any one looking for a green shot spot. The best part is the retail price is $100 and you can find it at many places for around $65 to $75.

Its too bad they used the red laser and not a green one as the green typically show up nicely night or day. Understandably why they didn't ;) but still.
