Hi all -
New to the forums, and new as a resident of DE as well. I was wondering where I can find the best prices on ammo locally (I am in the North Wilmington area). I would be looking for .22 and 9MM mostly for recreational shooting at the range.
Also, while I'm on the topic, does anyone have a recomendations for purchasing bulk ammo online? I like to shoot a lot of rounds through a .22, and haven't really found a great source myself yet.

If you want to go to a store I suggest target master just over the pa line. They always have ammo at somewhat decent prices or X-Ring in Newark his supply is hit and miss but he's not price gouging either.

I agree, much easier than spending a lot of high cost gas to find some ammo.

lem902: just made another great a trip to FereralFirearms, decided to try out some of this new Liberty ammo. great people and a great place to go..

Thanks guys - stopped at Miller's today as I was passing by just to see what I could get , and they are completely out of .22 and have almost no 9MM left. I did pick up a new Ruger SR22 since I was there anyway, so it wasn't a wasted stop! I guess I will have to check out some of the sites you suggested and see what I can find!

I bought 500 rounds of .308 at Targetmaster for $400, but I had to pay sales tax. :o
When that runs out, I'll be in the market. I'd rather buy it from Chris.

I was in Walmart in Camden (DE.) today and made a pass through the Sporting Goods Dept. and asked the lady there is they were going to get pistol ammo again. She said they had some 9mm in a few days ago, but it was sold right away. Don't know if she was telling me the truth or B/S ing me. Anybody bought any pistol of rifle ammo there lately?

I got 3 boxes of 9mm and 3 boxes of .45acp from the Middletown location 2 weeks ago. Walked into the isle with the wife as 4 others were standing there waiting for the kid to open the boxes. I saw 9mm, .40S&W, .45ACP, .38spl & .357mag. The 9mm was the first choice from what I could tell which is why I chose to nab only 3 boxes of it and the wife grabbed 3 of the .45.
We just happened to be there at the right time. They do sell out of all handgun ammo in minutes.
