Title: SA RO 9mm
Post by: Condition 1 on October 13, 2014, 04:46:54 PM
Picked it up from Federal Firearm (always a pleasure, favorite store) this past week. I have to say I am very, very impressed with the gun. Excellent accuracy and 100% reliability out of the box. The gun is super well made, no play, slide to frame, and bushing to barrel are well fitted. Nothing rattles on this gun, two key things (IMO) that sets this gun apart from the less expensive 1911s are forged frame and slide and match grade barrel.

If you are considering a 1911 in 9mm for range time I strongly recommend

The 1911 in 9mm is one sweet firearm.  I have great respect for Springfield Armory products.

Indeed. I am a 1911 guy in general, and carry one daily. This is the very first time I shot a full size in 9mm and now I am sold, it is the shooting experience.

I also have the Springfield 1911 in 9mm. Great pistol and enjoy shooting it all the time.
So far about 600 rounds through it and never a failure. Actually it is my favorite range pistol. Ok, my GP100 is very close.
