Title: 1943 Mosin Nagant
Post by: joep19934 on December 11, 2014, 01:38:45 AM
Hi all,

I picked up a 1943 7.62x54R Mosin Nagant at Cabela's Black Friday weekend for $139.99
I looks to be gone over by a PW Arms in Redmond WA, there is very little if none cosmoline on it and everything functions properly.
I'm going over the rifle again which looks to be in good shape and plan on heading to the range with it shortly.
I'll let you all know how it sends lead down range.
I got some surplus ammo ----> 440 rounds for $96 w/ free shipping
I'm using Fireclean on the bolt and barrel and may try Froglube on it at a later date.
I have done a couple quick things to it like rubber butt pad and going to work on the trigger a bit.
I really want to refinish the stock but I think I want to see how it shoots first.
Pictures will follow shortly but I think everyone has seen many Mosin Nagants to last a lifetime.
