Title: Massad Ayoob classes in our area (sort of)

FYI Massad Ayoob is offering classes within a few hours of Delaware next month. 

His two-day MAG20 Live Fire class is being offered in Easton, PA on May 30-31.  His four-day MAG40 class in Woodland Park, NJ on May 30-June 2 or in Harrisburg, PA on August 6-9.   

For all his classes you MUST have a "Current State Issued Permit to carry a concealed handgun" or FFL or police ID.  (Seeing as NJ doesn't recognize the DE CCDW, I'm not sure how this would work unless you're a cop or FFL.)

Being an FFL would be of no help.  While traveling to a range is an exemption to the New Jersey ban on having a handgun in a vehicle, you must be a member of a range to use this and member lists are transmitted to the State Police.  A reasonable policeman might let you procede but there is no guarantee.  The fact that you have paperwork showing that you are attending a class should exempt you but it would be up to a judge and jury.

Best to stay out of Jersey.
