Never been to one now I have even less desire to visit one.
So who is up for a meet up at Panera bread?? (sarcasim)
-
Never been to one... but I can tell you of a 2A pro-gun establishment ... and that would be
"Kathy's Crab House" in Delaware City....Check it out for lunch and dinner...
-
How about Kelly's in Port Penn? It's been years but they had a great crab cake sandwich that looked like a baseball. I imagine they carry themselves!
Never liked Panera.

Some people commenting in the DSN about the new businesses opening in Dover, filling vacant store, said they wished Panera would open a place in Dover. I for one would not do business there as the have an anti-gun company policy. They post the sign on the entrance, but I will not be getting that close to their anti-gun store. As far as I'm concerned, Dover doesn't need them, you can get what they sell in places already open.

Never been to a Panera Bread business and I have no desire. I think I might just go to one now because of their anti 2nd A policy. Remember, out of sight out of mind. When a handgun is properly CONCEALED nobody will know.

It doesn't hurt me, I carry concealed
-
We carry concealed in there, just like we do in every other business at the Christiana Mall. It's a public place, their signs don't make it illegal. F*** them. If I want a bowl of mediocre soup, I have the right to go in there and buy it.
-
I think they had this policy a couple years ago. Last time I was there I saw three open carriers at the Kirkwood Highway location.
Don't plan to go back. Not going to give a nickle to an anti gun company if I can help it.

Left of center huh? You sure sound right of center to me. It took me 5 minutes to clean off my laptop reading your post. Never drink and read online, lesson learned. Over and over.

Nope, I'm a genuine leftist liberal. I just believe in the entire Bill of Rights, not the 90% approach taken by a lot of others over here on the Left.

Wife and I frequent Panera at Christiana Mall abt once a month cause we like the food. I CCW all the time at the mall including Panera. No issues yet. It's a policy, not a law. If they ask me to leave, I'll do so happily and take my business elsewhere.

Same here... Until they changed their menu several months back...

I am absolutely sure that such policies are only to prevent imbeciles from coming in to show off there firearm. Why would anyone care if a responsible person concealed carry in thier store (accept for gun grabbers).
Nonetheless, I would steer clear of any gun free zone. They attract nutcases like fly's on Panera.

Ask any of the numerous owners, staff members or customers who have complained about on-duty officers carrying there service weapon on while eating? Morons exist in great numbers everywhere.

Funny. Saw 3 open carriers at Kirkwood Highway Panera. I don't think anyone even noticed.
-
Agree Clarence. Most folks are busy staring at their phones.
-
I seem to remember that this started with Panera with some people carrying AR or AK slung into a Panera.
Hey, I'm as pro gun as they come, and support ( but don't practice in public areas) open carry but come on, a loaded rifle in a restaurant? To me just a bunch of show offs. A holstered hand gun is one thing, but a rifle? Come on.
-
I'm sorry but these open carry people honestly ruin it for this of us with a CCW permit. That's why panera is anti gun.
-
I have to agree. I've only run into a couple of OC people here in KC but they both seemed to one thing in common. They had a bad "look at me, I'm carrying a gun" attitude. Just my take. But I look at it this way, I knew he was armed, but he didn't, and I was standing right next to him.
-
Seen a guy open carry a pistol into Wawa by Christiana Hospital. Looked right as rain to me and see him every morning getting his coffee. Guy is calm and friendly and if we were out west he wouldn't be alone OCing or noticed. Not for me but who am I to judge. Slinging an AR is quite different and would make me keep my eye on that person as I back my way out. :o
-
seen a young guy in his twenties walk around at car show at Medding's and Son's on tuesday night with an open carry. it was te first thng i noticed.
-
I've gotta disagree on the OC "look at me" bit. I've noticed quite a few people, more so more recently, and only one person had this attitude. The others were all going about their business on their own or with their families. I've been surprised at the numbers I've seen this year as prior years I hadn't noticed nearly as many.
