Title: 17 weeks waiting so far...
Post by: firemanfp17 on January 03, 2017, 12:48:40 AM
Just trying to put the feelers out on if I should contact the prothonotaries office at any point to see where things are with the process? Or should I just let it be and wait a little while longer ? They said it would be a 4-6 months turn around when I dropped everything off.

With the way things are these days I guess I am just a little anxious to start carrying...

My wife is at 21 weeks in NCC on her wait. I imagine it being renewal time that wait times will be longer now. Its the hardest part, but, all we can do is wait.

I dropped off my app in June of 2009 I received my CCW permit in February of 2010. I honestly think the AG's office puts the new castle county applications in pile and let them age like wine or whiskey for a few months before they review them.

I dropped off my paper work mid June 2016 in Sussex and received my permit early December. I received a letter from AG's Office requesting out of state driving record mid November then a month letter the license arrived.

I'm at 21 weeks as of today, however, it being early in the day, I the postman hasn't been round yet.  That being said, I'm fairly certain that it won't be in the mail today either.

They seem to be backed up, probably have a crap ton of apps with all the election fears of Hillary getting in.  I got mine in 7 weeks last winter, but seems like we are  back to the old 6 month cycle that I was told to expect.  I'd give it a bit more time, you should see it soon.  Sucks it takes so long.

Things probably won't get much better as it's January and now the renewals will start pouring in. In the past renewals were processed as a priority over new applications.

Well came home today and my permit was there waiting for me. I was actually a bit surprised since some of you that commented earlier in the week are at 20 weeks and waiting still.

Now off to plan when I will be heading to PA....

Welcome to the club of ultimate responsibility! Stay safe! Agreed with Lancaster for PA. I took a day ride on the bike up and back and even lucked into free parking right out front!

Heck no! And they may not deliver mail today because of the snow. It could be in the post office right now..all alone and..I just can't think about it.
