Title: Homeowner shoots at home invasion suspect - charged with murder

The homeowner shot at the suspects car as it was leaving his property - a definite No-No.  At that point he was not in danger.

Absolutely correct. No back shooting. No runaway shooting.

definitely a nono..never in the back,running away etc...

I agree outside the home. My CCDW instructor said if in the home with an armed intruder running for the door, the intruder is still capable of shooting you by reaching back with their gun while running away. Different rule in your castle.
