This isn't exactly something that would be incorporated into my EDC kit, but it is something that I'd like to integrate into my practice regimen. So, that said, what should I be looking for in a shot timer? The ones that seem popular are the Pact Club Timer, the Pro Shot, and the Competitive Edge Dynamics CED7000. In the interim, I bought a cheapie shot timer app for my iPhone, but I'm not sure that I'll be able to hear it in an indoor range while wearing ear pro.
Thoughts anyone?

Get a pair of Howard Leight Electronic earmuffs. Been using mine for 5 years and they work great. I can talk and listen to shooting partners in a regular voice while shooting (when they have them as well). Plus they have an IN port to plug into your iPhone. Very comfortable, they work great and long battery life. I've since purchase another pair for the wife and a third for when someone else visits the range with me.

I can't recommend a shot timer which I think is what your looking for. I'm wondering if the app on your phone could be heard with quality hearing protection like others have stated? ( not sure of your current hearing protection) I'm guessing you would need a mixture of a loud timer and hearing protection to work togeather to protect your ears and also hear the timer.
