Title: Linotype for casting
Post by: greymas on March 11, 2017, 09:26:02 AM
I have a bunch of range scrap of mostly .22 soft lead which I melt down into ingots. I'm looking for a source of Linotype to add to increase the hardness. I found RotoMetals (https://rotometals.com/) which ships free for orders over $99. Does anyone have experience with this company or know of any local sources for Linotype or other alloys to add to my lead to increase hardness?

American Gunsmithing Institute(AGI) has a reloading course that goes into detail on casting bullets and the makeup of your lead.  You might want to look into that.
