Title: Armed Citizen
Post by: Sinker on July 23, 2017, 11:06:01 PM
In the Armed Citizen section of the most recent American Rifleman, there's a story of a guy who drew his weapon and exchanged fire with a bank robber.  There are not many details in the article, but there's no way I would be willing to risk my life to defend a bank's money.

Me either,  the only reason I would have defended is if the robber put my life in danger.  I would not stand by and let him take another life either but if he is just getting the money and leaving then let him get it and leave.

And yet you entrust a bank to safegard your money. The money the robber was stealing was somebody's money.

I do not trust a bank one bit but it is a necessity to pay bills ect.  I do not use a brick and mortar bank any longer I use Ally so it is all online so no worry of being in the bank and someone robbing it.  As far as the brick and mortar banks that is why they have insurance.

Money is just a "thing". That's why banks have insurance.

Given the way that banks currently charge everyone for everything, if you shot and killed a bank robber -- they'd probably charge you $5.
