I'm ready to file my app and worried about the last section. I've heard so many things about what TO and what NOT to post as a reason for wanting to carry in De. What are some good reasons that the state want to see and what's the no no's to put down. I heard a reason not to put down was the right to protect property.

For protection of self and family is pretty standard
-
My reason for carrying are the day time robberies, car jackings and muggings at or near my home and places I frequent with my family.
-
like Steve said keep it simple...for protection of self and property
-
For protection of family, self and property.
-
Definitely keep it simple to protection of self, family, property and others.
-
I have been using self protection since 1995 with no problems. Like others have indicated keep it simple and short.

I usually use verbiage borrowed the Delaware State Constitution - Section 20. A person has the right to keep and bear arms for the defense of self, family, home and State, and for hunting and recreational use. Paraphrased as "For the protection of person, property or both."
