will any compact magizine made for 1911's fit in any compact 1911

They will.  In regard to a specific magazine, I'd highly recommend the Wilson Combat 47C or the Wilson Combat ETM Compact

I will add, if the tines at top of the mag are parallel, don't buy it, it will eventually cause problems.  They should slant out from the base of the cartridge.
