Title: Arrange with a newspaper
Post by: justin.rising on May 27, 2018, 04:59:45 AM
New member here.

I'm starting the process of getting my ccw and I'ce noticed that the step about the newspaper publication says to have the application published. The application that has my SSN, License #, DOB and address on it? Is this what I'm meant to be publishing or am I missing something. I found the application here: https://courts.delaware.gov/forms/download.aspx?ID=33068.

Thanks in advance.

Publish in the Guide.
They only print your name and address. It looks like this:
Quote
To Whom It May Concern: That "John Doe" of "Address AnyTown", Sussex County, Delaware, will be filing with the Prothonotary in and for Sussex County, State of Delaware, an application for License to Carry a Concealed Deadly Weapon, according to the Laws of the State of Delaware.

It depends on where you live.  New Castle County mostly will be the News Journal.  Kent and Sussex can use the Guide

Look on the instructions form for your zip code.  Pick the proper paper to publish in.

I forgot to mention, I'm in Kent. I was planning on going with the guide or Del State News. Thank you all for the information.

I'd recommend going with the Guide. DSN is kind of left leaning and charge too much.
