As much as I see the need for a wall, this emergency declaration is a Trojan Horse.
What is to stop a future president from declaring guns to be a national emergency and start confiscation?
No, the Republicans should have done this when they had both houses. Shame on them.

The US Constitution gives the President the right and option of using an "emergency declaration". It has been used some 60 times before by almost every President elected since it's inception . And remember, it was passed by both Houses of the US Congress.
So, once again Congress shoots themselves in the foot, and then cries "foul".

The "wall" just a way to give billions to his buddies. Even if you give him $30 billion dollars tomorrow, there will never be a wall.
(and this is not political: it's about Trump, and I'm from Atlantic City so I know the man).

Sorry folks, this is about as political as things get. It is them(most of congress) VS Trump. And they have no clue how to deal with Trump, since he is not a roll-over politician. He is used to dealing with a$$holes and there are roughly 535 to deal with.

Funding was passed years ago for a wall. Idk why now it’s such a big issue ? Funding being ask for now is only a percentage of what was already approved for a wall. By the way where did all that $ go? Im willing to bet if trump can get the funding this time the wall will be built.
Trump does not have the attitude of a person I could see as a friend . Although I can’t think of another person I would rather have in the office at this time .
I’m still waiting for all of the haters to leave the country like they said they were doing when he won the election ?? I guess they are finding out even with our problems there’s NO PLACE any better !

And why do they hate Trump so much. The left has worked on turning America into a Socialist nation for about 150 years. They were so close to getting their way in 2016 with Hillary Clinton. She even thought it would be a "cake-walk" to the White House and Victory.
But, something went wrong. Something that almost nobody thought of. A guy by the name of Donald J. Trump. A former Democrat turned Republican stepped up on the political stage and wiped out the competition and won the White House. The left went mad. Their heads exploded and their hair burst into flames. They were actually outdoors screaming at the sky in disbelief. How could this happen? They had planned and scammed so long. Woe is us!
Well, in this world there is such a thing as good triumphing over evil, and believe me these people are evil. They feel they can run your life better than you can and are entitled to do so. You should work your butts off and turn the money over to them to be redistributed to others that the Socialist deem worthy. Their followers. They hate rich successful people, because most of them are power hungry, but don't want to work for success, they want it given to them.
Now here's what I believe, and this drives some people absolutely wild. I being a Christian believer, someone else they hate, believe God stepped in, as he did in the days of King David. He took some one who most would say was the last person on Earth that would be made King or President, and instilled in them the power to win against all odds. and as David became the greatest king of Israel, History will prove that Trump may become the greatest President of the United States of America, the country that God places high in his heart, along with Israel.
Above all remember history. If you know where you've been, it makes it clearer, where you are headed. Also remember, that every society the has turned Socialist, has ended in bloodshed , famine, war, death and failure.
If you don't know the past, you are going into the future blind.

This is just a bump in the socialist path, they with get there sooner or later, and I suspect sooner. But Trump has dumbfounded them. He simply does not react to all their slander, as most politicians do.
