Title: Florida CCW Renewal
Post by: ThePixelated on August 02, 2020, 07:38:42 PM
Has anyone gone through their renewal for their Florida CCW yet that can share what they had to do/eperiencet? Mine expires in November for the first time. I'm looking to get a jump on this, even with the COVID stuff going on.

Thanks.

Don't have FL, but you will need to get your prints rolled again.  It states LEO must roll them.  If it didn't and you were in NCC, I'd roll them.

Just got mine last week in the mail.

About 3 months prior to expiration you  will get a package in the mail from the Florida Department of Agriculture containing fingerprint card and application.  The renewal is identical to the first time application except you need not show training.

The only thing you can do to “get a jump” is have a passport photo ready.  You cannot get an application for renewal by request

The cost is $87 total for 7 years which is a drop from the original

Go have the prints rolled by a police department on the provided card. Send application, picture, and prints in the provided envelope.  They cashed my check in about a week and received my new license in about 6 weeks.

Yeah. I'm just waiting for the package. Probably should be getting it soon. Thanks.

Yeah, I will need new prints again. I used to get fingerprinted ever few years for my previous job. I'm no stranger going to Troop 2 in Bear or SBI in Dover.
