I found this on the state website. Didn’t know these stats were published.
Interesting to me:
* Almost no denials
* Looks like renewals are really slow in being processed.
* 24000+ Licenses out there. Sussex is way out in the lead on a per capital basis.

Wow - how did you find this? Very interesting. I thought there weren't public stats on CCDW.

Saw this last week and was also surprised a the lack of denials. In the process of adding one to Sussex county.
Process isn't that bad, but I'm coming for Jersey where you can't get one.
I don't really care for putting your name and address out in the public advertising that may or may not have firearms in the house. Although we don't have any as they were all lost in a boating incident while fishing in the Hudson Canyon.

It's surprising that the only denials were renewals. No new applications were denied.

I don't think one can draw any kind of conclusion from these numbers. We are looking at two denials out of a total of 6,400 applications processed. They probably forgot to do something like sign their name, get it notarized, or include two copies of their passport style photo.

Don’t blame the current crop of communists in Dover for the newspaper ad. It has been law in Delaware since 1911.
Funny you say Delaware process is not that bad. It is actually THE worst of any state that actually will issue a license (forget NJ, NY, MD ad nauseum). As of today 19 states don’t even require a license for concealed carry (unlicensed open carry is more like 30) and the number is growing.

2019 census - pop was 973,764.
22,200 permits out there or 2.27% of us.
